Part II: Interpretations and Scriptures

The Lobby. The entrance hall where many people had gathered. They were busy "lobbying" for position, power and their own agendas.

The Snakes. The powerful evil spirits that plague and control much of the Christian music industry and much of Christendom. Each snake represented different sins. They had the authority to control people who had allowed room for these sins to continue in their lives. Whether or not these spirits actually look like snakes, I do not know. But that was the way they appeared to me in this vision. These spirits' primary power is deception. I believe the reason I saw them as snakes is because the serpent was the original "deceiver" from the beginning. Satan is also referred to in the Word as "that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray" (Rev. 12:9).

The Big One: Self-Promotion. "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted" (Matt. 23:12). The builders of the tower of Babel said this, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves" (Gen. 11:4). "No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt a man. But it is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another (Ps. 75:6,7).

The Charmer: Lust. "Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry" (Col. 3:5). "For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world" (1 Jn. 2:16).

The Two Snakes: Pride and Insecurity. "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall" (Prov. 16:18). "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him" (Jer. 17:7).

The Flesh Snake: The Fear of Man. "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe" (Prov. 29:25).

The Green Snake: Jealousy. "Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?" (Prov. 27:4) "A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones" (Prov. 14:30). "Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord" (Prov. 23:17).

The Small Poisonous Snakes: Bitterness. "For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin" (Acts 8:23). "Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice" (Eph. 4:31). "See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many" (Heb. 12:15).

The White Snake: The Spirit of Religion.

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean.
